James Bond…Martini…The words are interchangeable. Now with the latest James Bond movie, Skyfall, having grossed over $0.5 billion since its October 23 debut cocktail lounges across the country are taking advantage of the renewed interest in Bond’s favorite libation. TravelsinTaste has found five shaken not stirred worthy martinis so you too could sip like the super spy either at the venue or prepare it in the privacy of your own home while watching a Bond marathon.
Across the country Surf & Sand Resort on California’s Laguna Beach shoreline resembles a sun-washed Mediterranean Village, like the backdrop of the movie. Surf & Sand took advantage of the fact that women the world over have considered James Bond the ultimate man. As such the resort has taken the women’s vote and created the man’s martini, the Bourbon and Biscotti Martini, a potent concoction of Devils Cut Bourbon with biscotti liqueur.
