Laguna Beach Resort & Spa FAQ

How do I get to Surf & Sand Resort?  

From LAX (~1 hour) and John Wayne Airport (~20 minutes)
Take the 405 South to the 133 (Laguna Canyon Hwy) toward Laguna Beach until it ends at Highway 1 (PCH) and turn left (South).  We are approximately 1 mile south on the ocean side of Hwy 1.  

From San Diego (~1 hour)    
Take 5 North toward Los Angeles.  Exit “Beach Cities” Highway 1 North.  Head north approximately 10 miles. We are on the ocean side of Hwy

Which airport is closest to Surf & Sand Resort? 

John Wayne airport is 20 minutes away and LAX is an hour away from the resort.  

What are check-in and check-out times?  

We guarantee that you will be able to check in to our Laguna Beach resort & spa at 4 p.m. Check out is at 12 p.m.  

What do I do if I require early check-in or late check-out?  

You may request early check-in and late check-out by calling the front desk. At the time of booking, the reservation agent may note the request in comments. However, we cannot guarantee until the day of check-in if the room will be available before 4 p.m. You can inquire about your room’s status by calling the front desk. If your room is unavailable when you would like to check in, you may pre-check in with the front desk and start enjoying the property while the bell men hold your luggage.   To request late check-out, please call the front desk the day of check out.  

What is your pet policy?  

We allow pets under 25 lbs. and have a non-refundable deep cleaning fee of $150.  

What are resort fee charges and what is included in the charges?  

Our resort fee charges are $15/night and include:

  • Complimentary use of guest computer in Pacific Perk 

What amenities are included with rooms?

What are your room service hours?  

Room service is available
Sunday – Thursday 6:30 a.m. – 10 p.m.
Friday – Saturday 6:30 a.m. – 11 p.m.  

What is Surf & Sand Resort’s cancellation policy?  

Leisure/Group reservations (unless specified otherwise per group contract) require 72 hours’ notice for cancellation, and corporate reservations require at least 24 hours’ notice. We require a first night’s room rate plus tax deposit (except for Corporate reservations) that are fully refundable on or before the cancellation time frame.  

How many rooms are required for a group block and who do I contact about this?

Does the resort offer entertainment at the hotel?  

In the summers, we offer live music on weekends at 15FiftyFive. All other entertainment is dependent on the time of year.  

Is laundry service available?  

We offer laundry service and forms are available in each room to explain pricing and hours of operation.  

Do you offer any day rates for rooms & access to the spa/pool?  

We do not book day rates in advance, but you can check with the front desk the day of. Access to the spa for the day is also based on availability the day of.
